Working at iQmetrix means always looking at ways to be better.Reports To: Lead, DoubloonTeam Description:Our payments division is focused on building the fundamental payments technologies underlying all of the iQ brands, where security and reliability are key. Payment terminals, e-commerce solutions, money movement, and fraud detection are just a few of the domains we own.Job Summary:As a QA Analyst, your role is focused on helping the development teams test solutions that can’t easily be covered by automation testing, such as payment terminal hardware. You will work with our product owners and technical leads to ensure testing is considered during the planning phases for new projects. You will also work with our automation engineer to identify and prioritize areas that would make good candidates for future automation tests. This role also provides an opportunity to learn about and develop skillsets in automation testing.Responsibilities:Working with the product owner to contribute acceptance criteria and test plans for upcoming projects.Testing & validating acceptance criteria for user stories.Testing & validating defect fixes.Performing exploratory testing to discover regressions.Championing quality assurance during all phases of the product development lifecycle.Identifying and recommending components that could be covered via automation to our automation engineer.Providing feedback to product owners or developers on design and user experience considerations.Supporting the investigation of reported integration, user acceptance or production issues.Developing and maintaining the regression test suite for our products.Triaging bugs with product owners and technical leads.Qualifications:3+ years of experience in a QA analyst role.Experience working in an agile development environment and a clear understanding of how to operate within that framework.Experience writing test plans and creating test data.Basic understanding and of API endpoints and API testing.Sharp analytical, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Payment industry experience is not required, but a definite plus.30-Day Goal:After 30 days, you will have a high-level understanding of the solutions we support and will have started working on regression testing for a new feature.60-Day Goal:After 60 days, you will have had the opportunity to work with a development team on a project (project may still be in progress or delivered). Youll be taking on more responsibility when it comes to triaging and managing the defect backlog and working with the development team to define testing requirements as part of project planning.90-Day Goal:After 90 days, you will start to expand your influence to other payments development teams requiring assistance with testing, and will assist our Automation Engineer in identifying testing patterns that would make good candidates for automation.What is an iQerAn iQer is a term, used daily across all iQmetrix locations, is someone who works for iQmetrix.
