Job Description

We’re Cassidy Manufacturing, a service-oriented manufacturer, serving customers mainly in the agricultural sector. Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Control Manager will lead our Quality Control team, collaborate with management on priorities and goals, and ensure ISO compliance with customer requirements.If you are ready to make a difference in a team-oriented, employee-driven environment, then this may be your next role.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage quality control staff & work with HR manager on staffing levels and skillsets.
  • Deal directly with customers for PPAP, RGA, 8D, and other concerns.
  • Program the Zeiss CMM & Hexagon measuring arm and develop quality control procedures for recurring production parts.
  • Ensure calibration and upkeep of all measuring equipment.
  • Interpret Customer blueprints and GD&T requirements for use in production.
  • Follow, create, and enforce ISO procedures.
  • Coordinate/recommend on-the-job training for CNC operators as it relates to quality (measuring, insert wear, GD&T, etc.)
Additional Functions as Required
  • Assist/direct QC Technicians in daily tasks with the CMT 1st Off, Verifications, Last and Random Inspections and conduct on-going Inspections during the production runs and record data on documents provided.
  • Work with Supervisors to ensure that daily production requirements and production goals are met.
  • Work with the technical manager for new jobs, process changes, efficiency improvements, etc.
  • Assess processes and recommend procedure changes to improve part quality.
  • Liaise with the shipping department to ensure final QA is meeting delivery deadlines.
  • Assist Technical Lead in creating standard operating procedures and Traveler App in the shop and job specific work instructions to ensure consistency and quality in production.
  • Create job travelers and maintain Traveler App data in the Traveler Resources Directories so all information is properly formatted and relevant.
  • Update the SOP and Traveler App as required.
  • Responsible for shop floor quarantine and disposition of non-conforming parts.
Key Skills Required
  • Demonstrated understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, skilled blueprint interpretation
  • Experience with use and programming of coordinate measuring machines or CAD/CAM software
  • Educational background in one or more of the following; quality assurance, mechanical engineering, machining (CNC preferred), supervision/management in a highly technical production environment, technical CAD design.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a quality management role in a metal manufacturing production environment.
  • Knowledge of CNC operation and programming (MasterCam, Solidworks, etc).
  • Experience with ISO requirements and audits.
  • Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead, motivate and coach a team.
