As a perennial “Top Manitoba Employer”, the WAA prides itself as an organization that attracts engaged employees with the right skills, in the right place, and at the right time. http://www.waa.caReal Estate ClerkJob Title: Real Estate ClerkReports to: Director, Commercial Marketing & PartnershipsClosing Date: October 7, 2022The OpportunityReporting to the Director, Commercial Marketing & Partnerships, the Real Estate Clerk is responsible for assisting the Real Estate & Development department with the organization and filing of pertinent documents, physically and electronically. This position will aid in development of an intuitive comprehensive digital filing system, to reduce corporate risk and enhance departmental organization and efficiency. The Real Estate Clerk must be able to perform work independently while following clearly prescribed practices and procedures.Responsibilities include:

  • Organize unfiled paper documents,
  • Confirm Property Tax files and documents,
  • Verify insurance certification and link dates and materials to Propworks,
  • Identify any missing documentation from files by using a file checklist,
  • Create physical folders,
  • File folders and other documents systematically,
  • Assist in the development of an intuitive comprehensive digital filing system,
  • Scan documents using digital software, and
  • Electronically file the scanned documents into the new digital filing system.
Selection Criteria include:
  • Degree or Diploma in Office Management or Real Estate or a related field is considered an asset,
  • Knowledgeable with leasing language, including defining and communicating accommodation needs, content of leases and legal documents,
  • General knowledge of filing systems,
  • Ability to identify relevant documentation,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Ability to employ strong interpersonal skills to ask questions and clarify complete documentation by file,
  • Ability to employ tact, good judgment, initiative, discretion and excellent organizational skills,
  • Proficient computer and other technology skills,
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Professional,
  • Knowledgeable with Lease Management programs is considered an asset,
  • Office Assistant experience is considered an asset.
