From smallpox to meningitis and influenza, our vaccines have been protecting people from some of the world’s most devastating diseases for more than 100 years, and we’re continuing to develop novel vaccines across a range of pressing public health threats.This role requires travel to these provinces: BC, AB, SK, MB NB, NS, PEI & NLFleet vehicle and air transport coverageJob Purpose:The Regional Field Sales Capability Manager will partner across business stakeholders to contribute to defining sales priorities and will drive innovative initiatives to accelerate skill development of the General Medicines sales teams. Working in conjunction the Regional Sales Director and District Sales Managers, the Regional Field Sales Capability Manager will accelerate impact in new hire onboarding and regional/district training workshops. Their work will amplify and scale sales capabilities at pace to achieve strong sales performance.An important focus of this role will be spent as a partner to Sales Managers in coaching representatives in-field across the region to execute with urgency and strategic business thinking through a strong leadership presence. The Regional Field Sales Capability Manager will report to the Regional Sales Director and will be a significant contributor to the Regional Sales Leadership team. Success in this role will prepare the individual for future people leadership roles such as First Line Sales Leader.Details (Your) Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional partners to embed strategic implementation aligned to brand priorities, directly impacting achievement to regional sales targets.Develop and implement innovative and agile training solutions to enhance the General Medicines Sales team capability in Business Ownership and Customer engagement, in alignment with our Sales priorities and Selling Ways Model.Work alongside Sales Manager colleagues to coach in-field to improve in call excellence, leveraging our Coaching model and Capability framework and monitor regional capability progress against established objectives.Keep current on relevant matters including company business, policy, and procedures to insure 100% compliant implementation when coaching.Conduct learning needs assessments in collaboration with the business to clearly understand and define the capability gaps.Contribute to regional business plan and implement regional capability strategies to meet regional and national objectives.Support the Regional Sales Director and Sales Managers to plan and conduct sales meetings to inform, train, and motivate representatives.Support the effective deployment and embedding of Sales Competency models and frameworks within area of responsibility and ensure alignment to global standards, systems, and processes when appropriate.Support the development, deployment and maintenance of required local capability curricula i.e. technical and compliance curricula.In addition to national and regional meetings, overnight travel will be required.Why youBasic Qualifications:We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales
  • Experience in Selling Excellence and/or Marketing
  • Seasoned leader of cross-functional teams and contributor in leadership teams
  • Demonstrated success to exceed sales targets
  • Experience in coaching to Selling Ways: Customer Engagement and Business Ownership
  • Base understanding and experience of the end-to-end learning process i.e. learning needs assessment, program design & delivery and learning evaluation & assessment.
  • Proven ability to listen and interpret customer needs and then translate into an effective offering.
  • Track record of strong project management skills across small to medium scale projects.
  • Experience of leading ‘development’ initiatives i.e., training, coaching, learning initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with the need to manage constant change. Thinks ahead to be ready for change, re-plans quickly, deals with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and credibly and then leverage those relationships to drive sales priorities
  • Experience of working within a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance training.

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel (by car or air) within the region and nationally as required
