We are recruiting for Rescue Technicians in British Columbia and Alberta to support First Response Inc., a Canadian business unit under Ambipar Response. We are looking for new employees with great attitudes, aptitude, punctuality, and professional conduct to be part of our growing company. If you are based outside of Alberta or BC, this role will be fly in/fly out to camp.WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL CONSIST OF:
  • Respond to emergency situations to protect people, the environment, and property from all types of accidents and emergencies
  • Inspect and monitor confined spaces, work at heights as required and ensure rescue and fire equipment is inspected and maintained
  • Work within a team environment to complete truck and equipment checks
  • Provide emergency medical care and other related services at the scene of an emergency, accident, disaster, or mass casualty incident
  • Transport patients to safety during an emergency
  • Use proper first aid techniques and equipment in emergency situations
  • Attend and be active in worksite meetings
  • Complete hazard assessments and rescue plans
  • Train within your crew
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
  • OFA1 with Transport Endorsement (OFA3 preferred)
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS - PROVIDED BY AMBIPAR:
  • Confined space rescue technician certification
  • Rope rescue operations certification
  • ICS 100
  • Successful candidates must pass the required certification courses
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Physically fit and capable of performing a rescue
  • Valid class 5 drivers license with 6 or less points
  • Enthusiastic and team-oriented

  • Industrial experience will be considered an asset but not essential
