At the University of Manitoba, what inspires you can change everything.The opportunity: The Research Coordinator will be primarily responsible for assisting Dr. Mandy Archibald with coordinating various research projects. The incumbent will also be responsible for carrying out various aspects of the research projects, as well as overseeing the work of others.The qualifications and experience we’re looking for: · Completion of a Masters degree in a health-related field, preferably in Nursing or social sciences, is required.· Two years of directly related experience is required.· Experience designing, proposing, conducting and carrying out in-depth and complex research projects including intervention research.· Experience utilizing qualitative, quantitative, and arts-based data collection and analysis, and knowledge dissemination, including arts-based approaches to knowledge dissemination· Experience with survey data collection, individual open-ended interviews, writing field notes, participant observation, focus group interviews, and visual methods, such as photovoice.· Experience in conducting quantitative or qualitative research in social services or health care environments.· Supervision of other research staff an asset.· An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.· Must have experience using statistical and other computer software related to word processing and data management (e.g., Microsoft Office, SPSS, Reference Management System - Zotero).· Must have experience with drafting technical reports, brief non-technical reports for communities, academic publications and presentations, and other written documents as requested.· Must be familiar with confidentiality and security issues related to research.· Must have experience with literature searches and retrieval· Experience with grant writing is an asset.· Experience with knowledge translation science is an asset· Excellent English oral and written communication skills are required.· Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.· Good organizational skills required.· Must be able to work within time and budget constraints.· Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently.· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team is essential; with academic and non-academic individuals.· Ability and willingness to learn new processes and techniques required.· Access to vehicle and willingness to travel, depending on public health guidelines.· Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.Why the University of ManitobaAlong with being one of Manitoba’s top employers, we are proud to provide a collaborative and enriching work environment.
