Status: Regular Full-timeIn your role as the Retail Technology Solutions Analyst for the North West Company (NWC) you will provide technology support service to all NWC banners to ensure highest service standards – includes system/server builds, in-store data communication diagnostics, data balancing/recovery activities – all managed remotely. Check out northwest.ca for more information.Your Role:Provide rotating 24x7 Tier 2 on call support to the store chains to maintain peak operational performance at store level;Provide day to day trouble ticket analysis and resolution;Consult with Senior Analysts and Manager to determine and deliver solutions for unusual or undocumented problems;Deliver preventative maintenance to store systems where necessary;Action Service Requests to provision equipment and services;On site travel is required to address store system concerns (new store openings, disaster recovery, upgrades, etc.);Participate in I.S. project initiatives related to store support/store operations; and,Other duties as assigned.Desired Skills & Experience:Degree or diploma in a computer related program, including Windows based certifications such as MCP or MCSA;Minimum 2 years experience providing support in a technical setting;Direct experience supporting Point of Sale (POS) applications is needed;Knowledge of the SMS/Openfield and Storeline applications is a definite asset;Knowledge of systems providing financial service offerings such as prepaid debit cards, account payments, cheque cashing and ATM’s is desirable;Significant travel, including international, is a requirement of this position;Must possess a valid passport with no border entry restrictions;Strong organizational and time management skills;Strong analytical and problem resolution skills;Superior verbal and written communication skills; and,Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at once.Location: Gibraltar House, 77 Main Street, Wpg., MBReports to: Manager, Retail Technology SolutionsYou may include your resume and cover letter together as a single document.
