Be a Part of Our Great Family - Join the Ben-Mor Team!JOB SUMMARYAs the Round Sling Operator, you will read and interpret work orders to ensure timely and accurate assembly by maintaining quality assurance, product safety requirements and proper machine operation following all applicable instructions, policies and procedures as provided by Ben-Mor Cables Inc.RESPONSIBILITIES· Operate equipment to assemble and produce round slings; which are endless loops of high-strength polyester bundled together inside tubular jackets;· Read and interpret work orders to ensure accuracy and quality of assembly; including selecting woven materials and thread type, attaching necessary attachments (i.e., hardware, tags, labels, etc.);· Inspect and maintain the round sling equipment as per the standard operating procedures (i.e., threading machine, restocking polyester yarn, adjust speed as required);· Monitor and report on machine operation to detect problems, such as defective stitching in woven polyester jacket, breaks in yarn, or machine malfunction;· Accurately record the materials used, maintenance performed, and number of pieces completed during each shift, with focus on maintaining these metrics within production targets;· Maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors by complying with the Company’s safety standards, policies and procedures (i.e., report concerns/incidents, wearing personal protective equipment, good housekeeping of work area(s), etc.);· Perform other related tasks and functions as required by the dictates of the business needs relative to the nature of the position.QUALIFICATIONS· Minimum of three (3) years of production and/or manufacturing experience;· Previous experience with machine operating is considered a strong asset;· Familiarity with measurements, measuring tools and interpreting and following instructions;· Strong math skills;· Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills;· Good communication skills, both written and verbal;· Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail;· Capability to work effectively and safely in a fast-paced and changing environment;· Must be professional, punctual, reliable and demonstrate a willingness to learn;· Must have ability to regularly lift, lower, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs with rotation;· Must be physically capable of working in various positions for lengthy periods of time (sit, bend, squat, kneel, stand)POSITION CONDITIONS· Permanent, full-time position;· Repetitive work requiring various position(s);· Ability to lift, lower, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs with rotation is required.WHAT BEN-MOR OFFERS!· Competitive compensation package with annual increase opportunities;· Employee Group Benefits inclusive of Health, Dental, Life, Disability, Travel coverage and Employee Assistance Program;· December Holiday Shutdown;· Paid on-the-job training, ongoing safety training and safe work environment;· Company provided PPE – safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.;· Safety shoe annual reimbursement;· Team building activities;· Advancement opportunities for personal growth & development.All applicants are thanked for their interest in this position, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.At Ben-Mor, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible work environment.
