Job Description

The RPA Support Specialist is a key contributor to the provision of technical systems support within the Continuous Improvement (CI) department. The RPA Support Specialist is responsible for trouble-shooting systems challenges experienced by Bison staff, fulfilling requests for data outputs in various forms, and configuring data interchange requirements between Bison and its partners. This includes gaining an understanding of current processes and systems and identifying potential solutions and communicating with business analysts and software developers. As a member of Bison’s overall Systems group the RPA Support Specialist is committed to providing quality solutions through delivery of timely changes to, and complete support of, existing tools and processes.As an RPA Support Specialist you will be responsible for:

• Creating and managing Bots, monitoring automated processes and performing daily administration tasks
• Coordination of manual processing of exceptions
• Communicate breakdowns and downtime to the concerned stake holders in a timely manner and ensure that the various SLAs are met
• Ensure robot operations documentation is kept up to date and include all changes
• Optimization of the Robots through realigning of the schedule runs & Multi Bots processing
• Ensure we meet the SLA’S from the business for the processes the RPA team has automated
• Creation of data inputs, requests to support program changes and business improvement
• Ensuring customer requests details logged, tracked and resolved in the corporate ticketing system, email or project program
• Support alignment with other data-related roles (Customer Service, Customs, Accounting, Sales, Internal Audit)

You’ll gain lots of experience in this role, but before you do, you should have:

• Post-secondary education with a focus on: Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS). Other technical education will be considered relevance
• Experience with database programming language (SQL, Oracle, Python or others)
• Experience designing, building, and testing automation processes (robot automation programs)
• Ability and knowledge on API, HTML and other connection services to develop and integrate systems
• Technical and non-technical (user) troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently and effectively
• Ability to document standard operating procedures and best practice to support environment of continuous improvement
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong supportive team player
• Reliable and highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently or as a part of a collaborative team
• Flexibility and critical thinking to meet changing work needs and demands
• Ability to learn new technical platforms quickly

Nice to have skills:

• Demonstrated experience in applications support related to RPA platforms
• Experience with RPA technologies (Kofax, Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere)
• Good understanding of the RPA infrastructure deployment options (On prem, Cloud)
• Experience with Project Manager or Change Management methodologies
