Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager and Regional Director of Sales, the Sales Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Sales department with administrative duties, proactive selling tactics and client contact and follow up.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Regional Sales Team in executing contracts, proposals, and correspondence
  • Assist with sales efforts in soliciting new business and in selling guestrooms and our meeting room
  • Conducts telephone inquiries for the department regarding client services, marketing and promotional opportunities and account qualifying.
  • Ensures general office administrative duties are conducted regularly throughout the day, including: filing, monitoring and replacement of collateral, and ordering office supplies.
  • Participates in and assists with new prospects, target lists, coordination of sales blitzes and client service events.
  • Conduct site tours
  • Proven experience in managing business pages on social networking sites with robust content and innovative ideas
  • Provides quality service to guests by responding to their requests promptly, efficiently and courteously, demonstrating problem resolution.
  • Maximizes guest service by exhibiting strong knowledge of the hotels facilities and services.
  • Provides courteous, prompt, and accurate inter-hotel communications to staff and customers.
  • Follows Telephone Courtesy Key Deliverables and communicates clearly and courteously.
  • Takes accurate and complete messages, checking voicemails and emails promptly throughout the day.
  • Ensures organization of all client file.
  • Assist with execution of small meetings
  • Other projects/duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail is a must
  • Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude
  • Exceptional communications skills, excellent interpersonal and organization skills Impeccable computer literacy, telephone manners and impersonal skills and personal presentation
  • Sales experience within a hotel environment - calling clients/old/new/perspective clients
  • Knowledge of Opera Property management system and/or IHG Merlin is an asset,
  • Self-motivated, responsible and reliable.
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Must have own vehicle
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts, days, evenings, weekends, stat holidays to assist in any special Hotel events/bookings.
