Job Description

As a Security Analyst (information security analyst / IT security analyst), you will be responsible for the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of our clients’ cyber defenses. You will accomplish this through the management and refinement of security control measures and by following industry best practices. You will also be responsible for keeping on top of the ever-evolving threat landscape while staying current with leading edge countermeasures. You will have the opportunity to build your technical skills and expertise, as well as grow your consulting skills. As a team player, you will have a desire to learn and grow in your career and help others do the same..What you will be responsible for:

  • Deploy and administer intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, network devices and various security related systems.
  • Maintain and monitor sensors and data sources to ensure all security events are being logged, monitored, correlated, and escalated to the appropriate parties.
  • Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
  • Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents.
  • Remediate detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
  • Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
  • Help educate others on cyber security best practices.
  • Work with project teams to advise on and ensure security best practices are incorporated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assess and ensure vendors are compliant with organizational data protection policies and practices.
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
  • Stay on top of information technology trends and security standards.
  • Perform regular reporting to assess the organizations overall security posture.
.What you bring to the table:
  • 5+ years industry experience with a broad knowledge/understanding of information security concepts and methodologies, as well as experience in the technical implementation of solutions designed to specific security and scale requirements.
  • Cyber security training and certifications such as those from SANS or ISC2.
  • Experience performing security assessments of infrastructure (cloud and on-premise), applications and websites.
  • An infrastructure background with experience in networking, server, storage, firewall, switch, and wireless design.
  • Experience delivering solutions requiring information security, privacy, and compliance.
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to fast paced environments.
  • Experience assisting in creating business cases, lobbying for solution acceptance, and directing a team through solution definition, development, and implementation.
