Reporting directly to the Payroll and Settlements Manager, the Settlements Administrator will be responsible for providing support to various team members of the department.Our Mission is to become the industry leader of the driver experience. Our fleet team will be satisfied once our drivers have successfully met their full potential. As a leader within TransX, the position is expected to align with the TransX Core Values for Teamwork, Safety, Innovation, Accountability, Integrity, and Respect.KEY ACTIVITIESDuties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Correspond with various departments and terminal locations on a regular basis, specifically regarding Company Driver linehaul and Owner/Operator payroll
  • Processes trip envelopes for drivers, posting miles, expenses, and labeling documents in a timely and accurate manner
  • Providing timely and courteous response and follow-up to employee inquiries
  • Reviewing all employee payroll information, and entering information into system for payment processing
  • Importing employee payroll for Canada and US
  • Scanning and inputting various documents
  • Other administrative duties and projects as assigned
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGEEducation
  • High School Diploma – Required
  • Post-secondary education with a focus in payroll, accounting, or finance - Preferred
Experience
  • Previous payroll processing experience for both Canada and USA, ideally within the trucking/transportation industry - Preferred
  • Knowledge of payroll standards in both Canadian and US jurisdictions
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly with MS Excel.
  • Understanding of Owner/Operator payroll
  • Keen focus on providing customer service excellence to internal and external customers
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing tasks and timelines
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong revision skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding and time sensitive work environment
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
