RESPONSIBILITIES:

Band kits to skids or to machines, ensuring that the correct machine and kits are loaded
Join headers for export and band kits to the headers as required
Perform simple assemblies and/or bundle, band, or crate parts
Fill out production tags and count sheets in an accurate manner
Work as part of a team to meet daily department requirements striving for continuous improvement
Notify supervision of any damage to equipment or tooling
Maintain a clean work area and inform area supervision of any unsafe conditions
Operate air tools (sanders, buffers, chipping tools, etc.)
Perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job or as assigned by supervision * Maintain a clean work area using 5S methodology
Work cooperatively with others to ensure optimum efficiency of operations
Know and understand the WHMIS labeling system
Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions: Extreme temperatures (heat/cold), High noise levels Fumes, vapors, and gases

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working with production equipment or heavy machinery
Knowledge and familiarity with basic hand-held and air tools
Ability to comprehend verbal communication as well as written documentation * Strong awareness of safety requirements
Perform repetitive tasks following a prescribed routine
Work cooperatively with others to ensure optimum efficiency of operations
Able to do shift work (rotating shifts)
Maintain a clean work area and inform area supervision of any unsafe conditions
Know and understand WHMIS labeling system
