Wawanesa actively gives back to organizations that strengthen communities where it operates, donating well above internationally recognized benchmarks for excellence in corporate philanthropy.We are currently looking for dedicated, driven, and enthusiastic individuals who thrive in an environment that welcomes change and are looking for an opportunity for diverse experience and advancement on a growing team.Job OverviewWorking under minimal supervision, we are looking for a Solution Analyst to be part of our Partner Connectivity team and contribute to Wawanesa‘s success by designing, documenting, testing and supporting Wawanesa’s API ecosystem, connecting our partners, vendors, and policyholders to Wawanesa systems and data.With a focus on real-time data access, the Partner Connectivity team focuses on the overall delivery and operational excellence within our suite of API and Enterprise Integration technologies.The ideal candidate will relish working in a small agile team that facilitates rapid design, embodies a passion for quality and continuous improvement.Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to the analysis, design and documentation of both system and business requirements for application enhancements and projects.
• Participate in requirement sessions with business and system teams.
• Communicate system solutions in business and technical terms.
• Collaborate with multiple functions to ensure quality software
• Create test cases based on requirements documentation and defect resolutions
• Resolve both system and business requirement issues.
• Contribute to process and procedure improvements.
• Follow established practices, processes and guidelines.
• Keep up to date with current system standards and IS department established methodologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Completion of post-secondary degree/certificate or equivalent experience.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience performing systems or business analysis.
• Excellent analysis and problem solving skills using a structured approach.
• Excellent attention to detail skills to produce quality deliverables that accounts for all areas involved.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with style fitting for the audience and message.
• Strong planning and organizing skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience in agile practices, scrum, kanban and continuous delivery.
• Experience in programming languages is considered an asset.
• Knowledge and experience in insurance industry is considered an asset.
