We seek employees with a positive attitude in providing excellent service to the communities in our network.Position SummaryThe Northern Stations Office Agent is responsible to carry out daily office duties at the station.The Northern Stations Office Agent is responsible for checking passengers in for the flight, writing up air waybills for cargo shipments and writing up the manifests accurately for each flight leaving the station. The Northern Stations Office Agent is also responsible for ensuring that all office checklists and/or forms and all ADSs are completed each day, and that monies are deposited and ADSs sent to YWG Accounting daily.The Northern Stations Office Agent is a member of the overall Northern Services Department.This Full Time position is located in Island Lake (YIV), Manitoba.Personal CharacteristicsHighly flexible, with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.Good communication and time management skills.Exhibit initiative, responsibility and flexibility, with demonstrated solid interpersonal skills that allow one to adapt to a diverse and fast-paced working environment.Ability to problem solve by offering suggestions on ways to perform tasks better.Proactive, self-motivated and work well with others.Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesCheck in passengers for each flightAccept cargo shipments and write up air waybillsRelease freight to customers, ensuring that customers sign for itWrite up manifest and ensure that it is accurateWrite up Agent Daily Sales Reports at the end of each day and make sure they are sent to YWG Accounting in a timely matterAssist YWG Accounting in locating misplaced/missing ADSs or any accounting paperworkAssist customers in a friendly and courteous mannerEnsure that the office supplies are in stock and, when getting low, submit an order on the weekly supply request form to Stores.Ensure that office equipment is in proper working condition, e.g. computers, fax machines, debit machines, radios, etc.Adhere to and operate within safety policies, procedures and practices, attending requisite safety trainingProvide courteous, prompt, accurate and careful handling of customer baggage and airfreightProvide positive teamwork and ongoing support to the overall station, working closely with and having constant communications with Flight Crew personnel, and station staffPerform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.Education and ExperienceCustomer Service experienceKnowledge of Amelia computer system preferredBasic understanding of mathematicsWorking knowledge of office equipment e.g. fax machines, debit machines, computers etc.First Nations Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity trainingWorking ConditionsComfortable working in an office environment, various shifts and at a fast pace in order to meet service level requirements of the airlineIn good general health and the ability to lift and bend, carrying loads of up to 50lbsSome travel requiredSafety equipment where required, e.g. hearing protection, safety vest and company IDHow to ApplyPerimeter Aviation’s hiring policy is to recruit and select the best applicant for employment solely on the basis of their qualifications for the position.
