For more on our purpose, culture, and strategy, visit cpr.ca/en/about-cp.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:The Supervisor Local Operations Planning & AIR Support Coordinator plans, manages, and directs the work listing of local assignments in selected areas. Planning includes determining what customer traffic is required, and working with local T&E to ensure the plan is executed. The position records daily and monthly metrics on delivered service against CP’s guarantee, performs audits and efficient testing and handles first level escalations. There is extensive collaboration with both internal and external customers to ensure inventory is being reported accurately and through the correct channels.POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:Assess system operations and implement reporting solutions to optimize performance;Perform development to provide reporting solutions addressing specific business needs;Responsible for root cause analysis on production issues;Responsible for the implementation of solutions to resolve production defects;Administer and maintain the reporting systems;Provide end user support and training;Support reporting applications on 7/24 basis based on an on-call roaster;Accountable for planning, managing and directing customer shipments for designated local assignments;Reviewing customer shipments and releases;Coordinating the planning of shipment delivery and pick up;Accountable for tracking and developing metrics on CP performance;Accountable for Service Exception auditing and associated logging for Canada and USA;Identifying service exceptions not previously logged;Logging of service exceptions in the Ops DIB;Accountable for providing immediate feedback to the Manager on root cause of issues, including the proposed recommendation for change;Provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders as required;Accountable for identifying systemic problems and escalating as required;Accountable for ensuring all systems are aligned with the service being offered to the customer;Accountable for inventory reporting accuracy for the designated local assignments.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:The successful candidate will have previously demonstrated skills in the following areas;Strong analytical ability;Strong organizational skills;Effective writing skills, problem resolution skills, and strong verbal communication abilities;Ability to exercise innovation, analytical, persuasion & influence skills in solving problems;Cross functional understanding of rail operations;Knowledge of work procedures and system applications used in Customer Service Operations;Demonstrated proficiency with Office productivity software (mainly Excel and Outlook).WHAT CP HAS TO OFFER:Flexible and competitive benefits packageCompetitive company pension planEmployee Share Purchase PlanPerformance Incentive ProgramAnnual Fitness SubsidyADDITIONAL INFORMATION:As an employer with national presence, the possibility does exist that the location of your position may be changed based on organizational requirements.Background Investigation:The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances:Criminal history checkReference checkManagement Conductor Program:Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CP.
