Job Description

Bouygues Energies & Services is a leading provider of Facility Management services to a range of clients across Canada and, through our parent company Bouygues Construction, globally. Our Canadian projects include the government, aviation industry, and healthcare and entertainment sectors.Currently, we are seeking a full-time Operations and Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our Airport Operations team at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport in Winnipeg, MB.Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Operations and Quality Assurance Supervisor leads the Airport Operations Support Services team, including the YWG Airport Operations Centre, Pass Office, and Baggage Operations Centre to ensure operational and customer service excellence. In addition, Operations and Quality Assurance Supervisor acts as the subject matter expert for Quality System Management at the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport and drive continuous improvement.Why work with us

In this role, some of your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Provide supervision to the Airport Operations Support Services team, including the YWG Airport Operations Centre, Pass Office, and Baggage Operations Centre located at the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport to ensure operational and excellent customer services.
  • Regularly meet with staff to develop and discuss performance goals, identify training needs, and assist in staff development. Deliver on-the-job training and coaching when job knowledge and skill gaps are identified.
  • Manage the scheduling of Airport Operations and Baggage Operations staff to meet 24/7 operational requirements. Manage the scheduling of Pass Office staff to meet office hour requirements.
  • Provide guidance to the Team Leads for effective performance management.
  • Assist in interviewing, recruiting, training, performance evaluation, promotion, and termination activities.
  • Work with key personnel to assist in developing, supporting, and implementing working procedures, processes, job aids, and manuals for airport operations support services. Administer the document control function and manage the document control library.
  • Oversee the quality management system to ensure compliance with the Contract, improve operational activities, and achieve optimal efficiency. Communicate lessons learned from corrective actions to prevent recurrent and to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the delivery of service is consistent with the work specifications and required Quality Assurance standards.
  • Assist in producing, monitoring, and analyzing reports.
  • Investigate complaints regarding airport operations support services and take corrective action when required.
  • Actively seek opportunities for improvement and communicate recommendations in work standards, schedules, operational efficiencies, etc.
  • Ensure that staff present a professional image and positively represent the Company at all times.
  • Work overtime when required either as an extended day, weekend, or statutory holiday.
  • Comply with Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Fulfill Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to the requirements of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy Statement, Manual, and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may be reasonably required within the Department. Significant permanent changes in duties will require agreed revisions to be made to a Job Description.
What you bring:
  • Graduation from a two-year diploma program in Occupational Health & Safety and/or a Quality Systems Management certificate from a recognized institution or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of health insurance claims management processes and a thorough knowledge of the WorkSafe claims process
  • Two years’ professional Occupational Health & Safety experience in a large corporate environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum two years in an operations supervisory role; experience in a unionized workplace.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience, demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop.
  • Experience carrying out quality audits, inspections, and investigations. Strong analysis and reporting skills.
  • Good time management skills in order to manage priorities in an effective way, multi-task, handle regular interruptions, and still meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to keep accurate records and manage the timely delivery of reports.
  • Proactive and flexible attitude to work undertaken and hours worked with good time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, using own initiative, and able to contribute effectively to the operation of a multidisciplinary team
  • A positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to deal with a diversity of people in a calm, courteous, and effective manner regardless of their conduct.
  • Strong experience with MS software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Access, MS Project).
  • Team player committed to working in a quality environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements in order to lead by example.
  • Previous experience working with a CMMS preferably Maximo.
  • Proven excellent Reporting skills, preferably within a P3 environment
  • Must possess excellent communication skills - written and oral, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to effectively interface with clients, facility users, and internal department employees.
  • Able to obtain and maintain airport Restricted Area Identification Card.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Minimum one year airport operations experience preferred.
  • Working experience within a performance-based environment wherein Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) were set and delivered.
  • Working experience and knowledge of COR and high-quality accreditation programs
  • University education or equivalent industry knowledge.
  • Familiarity with methodologies, tools and concepts of quality management also an asset.
  • Strategically focused.
  • Strong impact, influence, and facilitation skills.
