For more information, please visit our website.An exciting opportunity awaitsWe currently have an opportunity for a Supervisor, Teller Services to join our team at our Linden Ridge branch. As the Supervisor, Teller Services, you will provide support to the Manager, Teller Services in the areas of workforce planning, communication, coaching and ensuring compliance with SCU policy, procedure and best practices.Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ensure understanding of corporate vision and strategy and partner effectively with the Manager, Teller Services to execute on operational plans
  • Develop, maintain and model a thorough knowledge of credit union policies, procedures and corporate values
  • Assist the Manager, Teller Services with the communication and promotion of change initiatives within the organization
  • Assist the Manager, Teller Services to ensure team members maintain clear lines of communication, meet service level agreements, and individual and organizational goals
  • Provide back up support and coverage for the Manager, Teller Services as required
  • Foster a strong team environment that will attract, retain and develop existing and potential staff
  • Assist with day to day leadership to the Teller Services team (including scheduling, monthly coaching, time approval and training)
  • Answer questions and provide training to staff as required so they are able to comply with SCU policies, procedures and best practices
  • Resolve service related issues or questions referred by staff
  • Provide direction and/or authorization for transactions that are outside of Teller Services staff discretionary limits
  • Work with team members to identify potential process improvements
  • Creatively schedule staff within the confines of existing budget approvals
  • Partner with the Manager, Teller Services to maintain joint custody on specified combinations and ensure adherence to security requirements for cash custody and other monetary items
  • Assist the Manager, Teller Services to monitor branch cash flow and maintain adequate levels of cash to meet branch requirements
  • Assist the Manager, Teller Services with the review of system generated reports to identify variances and initiate corrective action
  • Provide assistance and one-on-one mentoring to employees to assist them in meeting their targets
  • Complete required SCU training; assist with scheduling of other staff for training
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 diploma, plus 1 year of post-secondary education
  • 1 to 3 years of job related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of credit union/FI operations
  • Supervisory experience is an asset
