The Systems Administrator of the IT Service Management (ITSM) Application Platform (ServiceNow) is responsible for general administration duties and application development. Specifically responsible for User Administration, Troubleshooting Incidents and ServiceNow Enhancements.Job Responsibilities

  • Performs User Administration, creation and maintenance of groups and users, managing access requests for Add/Remove/Modify of permissions and maintaining access controls to ensure compliance.
  • Possesses an in-depth working knowledge of the technical implementation of various ServiceNow ITSM modules such as Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Catalog, Configuration Management, Knowledge Management, Reporting and Dashboards, MID Server, Inbound/Outbound notifications, Discovery, and related tool integrations with other systems.
  • Continuously look for improvement/development/enhancement opportunities to streamline existing processes.
  • Performs administration of associated forms, lists, and drop-down values related to all modules and other process related workflows.
  • Creates update sets to move customizations between environments.
  • Schedules clones and conducting all post-clone activities.
  • Performs extensive testing to support validated environment.
  • Implements ServiceNow workflows and leverages system automation to streamline processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years ServiceNow administration experience or ServiceNow Administration certification.
  • Related IT certifications or ITIL certification are considered an asset.
  • A background in IT Service Management processes and best practices is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with SaaS (Software as a Service) and cloud-based technologies.
  • Strong ability to work with Java and JavaScript and open-source tools in an agile development environment.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills capable of multitasking effectively and prioritizing appropriately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of communicating in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience with database design schemas and data modelling.
  • Familiar with webservices development include SOAP.
  • Previous experience of working in an Agile Development Methodology.
  • Solid Microsoft Word, and Excel skills capable of producing procedural documentation, queries and reports.
  • Strong requirements gathering experience.
