Job Description

Technology and Innovation Support AdminAbout TPIRecognized as Canada’s largest host travel agency, TPI empowers individuals and teams to become their own travel agent and enables existing travel agencies to operate with a lower cost structure than going at it alone. Anyone can become a travel agent, set their own hours, work remotely, enjoy discounts on travel and create unforgettable experiences for their clients. Existing travel agencies can shed the administration labor and licensing costs as well as take advantage of the bulk buying power of our network. We currently have over 1000 independent travel agencies and agents across Canada.This role is for an IT administrator to support the Support Centre’s office IT infrastructure, software applications and training.Position DescriptionTPI develops our own internal software to enable the success of our travel agents. We are expanding our IT team to facilitate expansion of our software as a service offering. This role is for an IT administrator to support the Support Centre’s office IT infrastructure, software applications and training.Resumes and communication must be submitted in English.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for some processing routines, building and scaling a specific product vertical of our software and supporting our internal staff. This includes:

  • Accounting data processing, monthly reporting, and quality checks
  • New agent setup processing:
  • Creation of users across various systems
  • Windows and Office365 Administration
  • Windows Workstation and server programming and troubleshooting
  • Office365 Email, SharePoint and Office Product configuration and support
  • Networking, Firewall and VPN knowledge an asset
  • End user and staff administrator helpdesk support of our technologies including but not limited to:
  • Hardware support troubleshooting and support
  • TPI propriety and other travel software troubleshooting and support
  • WordPress Administration
  • Front end HTML, CSS, JS code troubleshooting, quality testing and feedback
  • Mid-Level website support for staff - content creation and publishing.
  • Requirement’s identification and testing
  • Training documentation and educating staff and travel agents
In this role you will be trained in basic accounting processing and understanding as a base to support our accounting focused payment technologies. You must be detail orientated, patient with data entry and carry a numeric competency.In The First Week, Expect To

  • Shadow critical teams throughout the organization to learn TPI core operations and capabilities.

In The First Three Months, Expect To
  • Be a well-integrated member of the organization with positive relationships to Accounting, Call Centre Support, and Marketing Operations.
  • Be in communication with travel agents and head office staff on a regular basis to hear from them and support firsthand.
  • Become introduced into our pioneering technology and begin to contribute to process change and improvement.

In The First Six Months, Expect To
  • Be the IT lead or internal technology product owner for your identified verticals within our operations
  • Training, testing, and troubleshooting of newly developed software applications based on your feedback
  • Continued routine and on demand technology hardware and software support of agents and staff as needed
  • See an impact from your involvement in early initiatives.
In The First Year, Expect To
  • Look back and forward at your co-collaboration with our internal teams and development to see an increase in a material growth and efficiency of TPI operations.

Requirements
  • Two Years of technology support experience in a related field
  • Efficient in Microsoft Applications
  • Database Administration or analytics experience considered plus. E.g., Creating and modifying SQL, large dataset reports etc.
  • Strong problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Committed to creating a high level of customer service experience for all employees
