Job Description

Job Summary:As a Telematics Application Specialist, you will join the Engineering Software team and be in-charge with facilitating the smooth operation of the company’s telematics infrastructure. Being the primary point of contact for all telematics escalation support, you will manage all open issues as reported by the cross functional team which includes; service, production, engineering and R&D. You will be responsible for personally troubleshooting the problem and if necessary escalating it up the chain to our product expert or systems provider. You will also act as the systems administrator of our portals, repositories, and databases. As you grow to become a domain expert in the field of telematics, your valuable insights is going to be used to review the feasibility of future feature requests.Responsibilities:

  • Document, categorize, troubleshoot and walk-through open issues related to telematics until it is finally resolved and the ticket is closed.
  • Execute escalation plan for problems requiring the assistance of internal experts or external vendor support.
  • Review the feasibility of new features and detect system vulnerabilities.
  • Create and execute a validation test plan.
  • Perform administration and maintenance of portals, repositories and databases.
  • Support portal integration and deployment efforts within the product lifecycle.
  • Tasks includes; creation and modification of asset models and network/hardware troubleshooting.
  • Create diagnostic software and utilities used to support telematics implementation.
  • Prepare technical documentation and user manual.
Qualifications:
  • Degree/Diploma in a technical field that is related to Computer, Information Technology and Electronics.
  • Programming experience in C/C++ and scripting language.
  • Functional knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and networking protocols.
  • Fast and independent learner with a strong aptitude for critical thinking.
  • Ability to work within in a cross functional environment and multi-task within assignments.
  • Possess high level interpersonal skills.
Assets:
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting computer networks.
  • Work experience with call center environment in the field of technical support.
  • Familiarity with agricultural equipment.
