We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative individual to join our Upholstery Team as our Textile Cutting Machine Operator. This role is full-time, evening shift, working Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and working out of our head office and plant located at 70 Lexington Park, Winnipeg, MB. The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup and operation of the digital fabric cutter to deliver cut textile patterns.THE DETAILS:

• Youll be joining our Textile Cutting team on a full time, permanent basis
• Setup and run production on a digital fabric cutter to deliver cut textile patterns
• Inspect material rolls to ensure they meet quality expectations and communicate to the Upholstery team leader immediately
• Setup and changeover of material (textile rolls) according to the EQ3 production schedule
• Setup of cutting jobs on a fabric cutter according to the schedule
• Accurately read production sheets and schedule lists
• Maintain consistently production expectation
• Recut products rejected by the Quality inspector or Team Leader
• Receive batches of shipping labels from team leader.
• Sort styles within the batch to ensure efficient usage and yield of Textile rolls.
• Ensure shipping label information is accurate/correct
• Examine all daily product for general fit, finish and functionality ensuring adherence to upholstery quality standards

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Some secondary school education may be required
• Basic computer skills considered an asset
• Knowledge of Upholstery product
• Knowledge of quality standards of upholstery products
• Experience working with a culturally diverse workforce
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to communicate well in both written and oral English
• Accurate and detail orientated
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Able to use a measuring tape and read in both standards: metric and imperial
• Familiarity with basic hand tools including scissors, knife, seam ripper, mallet, etc.
• Able to read and follow Upholstery production flow
• Able to lift and carry pattern Material rolls up to 75 lbs.
