And our people are central members of an international taskforce steeping up to meet that challenge.About the roleBased from our Winnipeg trading offices and reporting to the Trade Execution Manager, we’re seeking a new team member to join us as Trade Execution Coordinator to manage the execution of grain contracts for both bulk and container shipping. You’ll mainly look after execution for Canada but will also work closely with teams in Ukraine, the United Kingdom and other geographies.Specifically, you will:

  • Execute national and international bulk and container contracts from point of export to point of import
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including traders, charterers, brokers / forwarders / shipping lines, etc.
  • Manage day to day tasks such as planning, shipping, invoicing, presenting documents and monitoring payments from the export or purchase point to the import or sales point
  • Ensure compliance with all export and import requirements as well as with the company’s corporate policies.
About your experienceOur ideal candidate has bulk execution experience in a similar role within grains or related commodities such as palm oil, rice, sugar, fertiliser, metals, etc. You should have sound knowledge of the standard contracts which apply to your industry.Experience in domestic and/or international organics trade execution will be highly regarded!You should also have:
  • Sound knowledge of Incoterms
  • Knowledge of payment instruments
  • Knowledge of charter party preferred
  • Knowledge of importing / exporting regulations
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
Due to the nature of shipping operations, flexibility and availability outside of standard working hours is required, including some weekends.
