Your strong interpersonal and organizational skills will be well placed in this role where you will work with Managers in Training (MITs), Departments Managers in Training (DMITs), trainers, vendors, Corporate and Warehouse learners, as well as internal stakeholders. In your role you will ensure ongoing support and effective administration on the Training Centre, and act as the main point of contact for all new learners.NWC is a leading retailer to under-served rural communities and urban neighbourhood markets in the following regions: Northern Canada, Western Canada, rural Alaska, the South Pacific islands, and the Caribbean. Check out northwest.ca for more information.Your Role:Work with the Training Centre Operations Training team to support new management hiresSet new trainees up with required training materials and documents;Administer trainees in SmarterU;Manage training calendar to schedule start dates and special presentations from other business partners (ER, H&S, etc);Manage Tuition Assistance Program invoices and applications;Create and maintain communication plan for TAP;Act as main contact and coordinator to assist MITs and DMITs during their stay in Winnipeg;Support internal stakeholders in departments such as: Operations, Human Resources, Procurement & Marketing, and others as required;Work directly with stakeholder groups to share training plans, schedules and progress for new MITs and DMITs;Ensure vendor relations are maintained for welcome kit;Manage relationship with Homewood Suites or hotel partner;Plan and book travel for trainees traveling to communities, including completing all necessary travel paperwork;Prepare all required documents and paperwork for learners on an ongoing basis;Sign off on new hire training expenses on a monthly and ongoing basis;Work closely with Recruitment team and Workforce Planning Team to coordinate start dates, and training space;Review invoices and receipts for Training Centre costs; assign to correct budget and review vouchers to confirm on admin statement.Identify opportunities for improvement in ongoing management and operation of Training Centre;Manage Training Centre service providers, contracts, invoices, and other documents/relationships.Desired Skills & Experience:Post-secondary degree, diploma in Human Resources, Business, or Office Administration is preferred;Human Resources certificate, or in process of completing the program is an asset;Strong focus on customer serviceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new HR systemsPlan and coordinate multi-stakeholder meetingsAbility to work independently as well as within a team environment;Excellent interpersonal skills;Sound organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to multitask;Strong written and verbal communication skills.
