• Youll be joining our Cushion Filling team on a full time, permanent basis
• Stuffing all types of upholstery covers according to product specifications
• Inspect covers to ensure they meet quality expectations
• Gather covers, foam, K-cloth materials, etc. according to the daily production schedule
• Identify all quality issues relating to cover parts, materials and communicate to the Upholstery team leader immediately
• Receive Team Leader authorization on quality/ materials issues before filling of product begins
• Fill product as per specifications ensuring quality standards
• Operation of various models of cushion filling machines
• Consistently maintain production expectation
• Set up covers, frames, and other upholstery materials for the Upholsterers
• Organize and pull foam wagons as required
• Receive shipping labels along with upholstery covers from sewing
• Ensure shipping label information is accurate/correct prior filling covers
• Examine all daily product for general fit, finish and functionality ensuring adherence to upholstery quality standards.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Some secondary school education may be required
• Knowledge of Upholstery product: Cover leather/fabric, wood frames, filling materials
• Experience working with a culturally diverse workforce
• Experience working with air tools
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to communicate well in both written and oral English
• Able to use a measuring tape and read in both standards: metric and imperial
• Experience working with air tools
• Physically able to operate seat cushion machine
• Familiarity with basic hand tools including scissors, knife, seam ripper, mallet, etc
• Physically able to lift 75 lbs.
• Open-minded and willing to try new ideas regarding process, layout, or flow.
