Job Description

(2200A46)Canada-Manitoba-Winnipeg | Full-time | Temporary | ShiftPOSITION: AM Warehouse – MAT LEAVE Coverage (end date January 25, 2023)SCHEDULE: Mon 7:30am – 4:30 pm, and Tues- Fri 8:30am – 5:30pm (FULL-TIME)PAY: $18.98OVERALL PURPOSE:To participate in the safe, accurate and timely processing of in-bound/out-bound freight to meet DHL on-time performance standards.MAJOR ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hospital function processing redirects, bad addresses etc. during sort.
  • Support customer service ie. GEMA, network activities, counter, contacting customers etc.
  • Support export operations when needed and to obtain:
  • RAIC, Ramp Side license & X-ray.
  • Ramp drivers license will be expected to be obtained within 2 months from awarded date and will allow only two approved test attempts.
  • Ability to drive both Cargo vans, 1 ton and 5 ton trucks
  • Sort freight while following GSOP guidelines and KPI’s
  • Move freight within the warehouse area as per agreed safety procedures
  • Participate in the organization and clean-up of the warehouse area.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe and co-operative work environment.
  • Scan freight as required.
  • Other warehouse duties as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESULTS:
  • Meet company productivity targets
  • Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Handle shipments in a manner that minimizes damage
  • Paperwork is 100% complete, accurate and on time
  • Shipment processing complies 100% with Transport of Dangerous Goods requirements
  • Follow policy and procedures as outlined by shift Supervisor
  • Maintain a secure and safe working environment for all staff
  • Comply with Collective Agreement
  • Alert operations management of service and safety issues immediately as they occur
  • Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to lift and carry parcels, up to and including 70 lbs per piece, throughout shift.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and on-time within tight time constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Meet security requirements.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • General working knowledge of warehouse and inbound functions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the DHL operations system.
