Job Description

As a locally based financial institution, Cambrian Credit Union is known for working within our community to deliver financial advice and exceptional value to our members. At Cambrian our core purpose is working together with our members to build a financial foundation for making their dreams come true.Cambrian is seeking a* Wealth Solutions Advisor* (Wealth Management) responsible for co-managing a shared portfolio of existing Credential Asset Management investors. Working effectively within a team of Wealth Advisors, this position will utilize non in-person meeting channels (video/telephone) to support existing pool of investors with basic servicing, planning and prospecting.The* Wealth Solutions Advisor* will conduct a meaningful discovery to identify external asset consolidation; new sales leads; and digitally refer investors within the centralized portfolio as appropriate to Aviso Wealth’s digital platforms.Location: 287 Broadway & hybrid work environmentIn the role of Wealth Solutions Advisor, you will:

  • Provide existing Credential Asset Management investors with basic portfolio servicing & planning to fulfill immediate transactional requirements, while meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Efficiently onboard new Credential Asset Management investors in alignment with regulatory requirements; supporting NEI portfolio solutions and delivery of basic planning to meet member needs.
  • Highly motivated towards new business development prospecting activities to identify investment, deposit and lending opportunities; with professional triage as appropriate.
  • For investors not currently suited/seeking comprehensive advisory services, deliver a meaningful introduction and referral to appropriate Aviso Wealth digital platform (VirtualWealth; Qtrade Direct Investing) with accompanying follow up activities.
  • Effectively manage all assigned sales & service campaigns
  • Maintain strong product knowledge within NEI preferred asset member owned solutions.
  • Provide leadership for the delivery of service excellence to member in all areas of their contact with Cambrian Credit Union.
Your experience:
  • Mutual fund license in good standing, holding Investment Funds Institute of Canada or Canadian Securities Course, and holding either Certified Financial Planner or Personal Financial Planner designation or completion within 36 months of assuming the role.
  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in business, or equivalent business experience.
  • Proven performer within a financial retail sales environment with a minimum of two years direct selling experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the various personal financial planning theories and standard asset allocation practices with practical knowledge of the various financial products and investment markets accessible to an investor.
  • Confident working with online technology platforms.
  • Critical thinker who analyzes information and uses logic to address issues, problems and challenges.
  • Ability to work well in an environment with multiple and often changing priorities
