If you feel called to be a part ofthe Turning Leaf team, please apply today.MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR JOB SUMMARYReporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing and CommunicationsCoordinator is primarily responsible for supporting the department in executing the annual marketingplan, communications functions, championing the Agency’s report writing, overseeing social media, andassisting with graphic design and photography.The Marketing and Communications Coordinator also collaborates with all departments as needed tohelp further the agency’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Cover letter and Resume are required.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • ENCOURAGED BUT OPTIONAL: Please submit online graphic design and/or photography
portfolios (website, social media pages, etc.) or submit digital samples of your work with yourcover letter and resume.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Communications and/or Creative Communications Diploma
preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, Adult & Child Abuse Registry Check
and (no older than three months).
  • Available 40 hours per week Monday to Friday in office hours with the willingness to work some
evenings when necessary.
  • Minimum three years of relevant work experience in a corporate setting.
  • Graphic design skills are required.
  • Photography, photo editing and graphic design skills are required.
  • Extensive social media management experience is required.
  • Experience in fundraising an asset.
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization, especially in the mental health/social services
sector is an asset.
  • Strong academic and creative writer with meticulous copyediting skills.
  • Exceptional reporting skills, including research, data gathering, and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing practices.
  • Proficient working with Canva, WordPress, DonorPerfect, and Constant Contact is an asset.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with vulnerable people and people with disabilities is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
  • Three employment references.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIRESMarketing and Communications:
  • Collaborate with departments and employees as needed to help further the agency’s mission,
vision, objectives, and goals.
  • Support the Director in executing the annual marketing plan.
  • Execute internal and external communications tasks as needed.
  • Prepare press releases as needed.
  • Provide Media and Public Relations support as needed.
  • Spokesperson for the agency when appropriate and required.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, including promoting adherence to brand standards.
  • Copy writing and editing as needed.
  • Manage agency’s donor/vendor database.
  • Oversee Constant Contact e-marketing.
  • Assist in building awareness of the agency in the community through networking opportunities,
partnerships with the community, and existing donors, stakeholders, etc.
  • Track and report on donations, gift-in-kind, Third Party fundraisers, and community
partnerships.
  • Develop and implement donor communication and recognition process.
  • Assist with internal events and participate in committees as needed.
  • Assist with merchandise sourcing, design, ordering, and distribution.
Report Writing and Management:
  • Assist the Director in producing the Annual Report.
  • Create visually appealing graphic reporting templates to be used cross-departmentally.
  • Prepare on-demand and scheduled quantitative and qualitative reports cross-departmentally.
  • Implement report request and data gathering process.
  • Develop reporting standards and ensure consistency across the Agency.
Website and Social Media Management:
  • Create annual social media calendar.
  • Manage social media feeds, curate compelling content, build followers, and increase
engagement.
  • Oversee website updates and expansions.
  • Monitor, track, analyze and report website analytics and social media insights.
Graphic Design and Photography:
  • Write the copy for and design marketing materials as needed.
  • Create social media graphics.
  • Assist in the creation and production of Agency signage.
  • Photograph participants, employees, events, etc. as needed for Agency image bank.
  • Other duties as assigned.
