We are currently seeking Appointment Coordinator to join our team.The Appointment Coordinator is responsible for taking inbound calls from a variety of customers for a variety of pick-ups, drop-offs or other customer queries. The position responsibilities include providing superior customer service in a positive and professional manner to all customers all the time.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide superior customer service to existing and new customersActs as a single point of contact for customers requiring appointmentsManage customers appointments through the phone and email in a timely manner and in accordance to company standardsProvide tracing and P.O.D. reference information to customers (external and internal)Answer inquiries and provide prompt communication regarding status of shipmentsCoordinate special pick-up and delivery of loads or shipmentsAnswer incoming calls from customers ensuring accurate and detailed information is gatheredInput pickup information in the city pickup and delivery systemShare information regularly with management on trends and risks to the businessGenerate business reporting spreadsheets as necessaryCommunicate with city dispatchers, the dock, etc. regarding service requirementsTelephone customers special needs such as late pickupsPractice and support all Health and Safety initiativesParticipates in other tasks within the City Dispatch operations in support of goals and objectivesQualificationsSome secondary education with experience in a multi-function department is preferred. Strong communication skills with proven ability to build and maintain customer relations, and support and carry out dispatch operations. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with a strong customer focus to manage and prioritize competing tasks. Experience with Gardewine or similar driver software system preferred. Fast and accurate typing skills with strong attention to detail. Able to work effectively in a fast paced and diverse team environment. Knowledge of local P&D and warehousing activities would be an asset.Quick Apply
