We are currently seeking Linehaul Dispatch Supervisor to join our team.The Linehaul Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the dispatch team dispatches equipment effectively using all resources to meet the customer needs.Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeads, coaches and supervises dispatch teamPlan manpower and equipment needs for Linehaul operationsDiscuss previous shift activities with dispatchersAnswer phone inquiries and resolve any operational issuesTrack incident reporting and analyze statisticsCommunicates with dock personnel to get outbound loadsConnects with terminals on pertinent informationCommunicates and confirm bookings with driversConfirm manifest sheets with B.O.L. and distributes to Linehaul DriversCoordinate any maintenance requirementsAssist in coordination of any accident clean-upReports irregular activitiesParticipates in safety initiativesEngages in other tasks in support of organizational goalsQualificationsIdeally you must have one to two years related experience in a similar position. Strong communication skills and able to work in a fast paced computerized office environment. Excellent organizational skills and time management proficiency to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Exceptional interpersonal skills to work independently and as a team player and provide professional customer service. Experience with linehaul activities (preferred) and/or general freight handling. Knowledgeable with Linehaul dispatch operations preferred. Excellent computer and telephone skills.
