Job Description

Position Overview: *We are looking for a Business Project Coordinator who will be responsible for managing cross-functional projects and their underlying activities for the Xplore Business Division. The primary focus of this role is to successfully manage the installation of new sales orders for the Xplore Business division.The Business Project Coordinator will be the prime point of contact for the customer during the installation process and will provide regular updates and status communications as required. The Business Project Coordinator will work with all stakeholders involved in the solution deployment, which includes Field Services, 3rd Party Contractors, IP Networking, Design Engineering, and others that may be involved on service installations.This candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects throughout all phases within the triple constrain of a project.Key responsibilities include:

  • Executes project deliverables within budget and as per the approved project plan, working with business partners to develop the content of those deliverables
  • Manages all communication with key stakeholders and ensures they are aware of significant changes to the project status in a timely manner
  • Provides project coaching and overall team leadership for project team members, and may be required to provide regular input into team members’ assessment of performance
  • Investigates, escalates and ensures that all project issues are effectively resolved
  • Controls change to project scope through accepted change management processes and documentation
  • Ensures all team members understand the Change Management/Readiness process and facilitates Change Management/Readiness sessions
  • Develops an understanding of the customer/technical/business aspects of the project in order to effectively manage the project and resources
  • Effectively manages project resources and external contractors/consultants in coordination of competing priorities
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Demonstrated advanced written communication skills with the ability to position communication to align with business goals and corporate messaging
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Strong time management skills with an attention to details
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and drive decision/results
  • Professionalism in representing the company to our customers (both internal and external)
  • A strong working knowledge of MS Office (in particular MS Project, Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Quick-base & Salesforce (would be an asset)
  • 1 – 3 years prior Project experience
  • Knowledge of Telecom industry an asset
  • Previous project coordination or management experience in a customer focused environment
  • Ability to work with a team and to interact with all levels in the organization
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience working within cross- functional teams and/or projects including project administration
  • Data management and systems testing experience
  • Two years of related or relevant work experience
  • PMP designation is considered an asset, but not necessary
