Job Description

Yard/Customer Service AttendantSpringhill Lumber (Wholesale) Ltd. is currently looking for an Experienced Yard/Customer Service Attendant. The successful candidate will have excellent customer rapport. The Yard/Customer Service Attendant will be responsible for assisting customers in the yard with their building materials needs while maintaining a safe, clean and organized environment. If you enjoy being outdoors, staying active and working with a strong team this position is right for you! This is a full-time Monday to Friday with some overtime as required.The successful candidate will receive full company paid benefits after 90-days.Rate of Pay: $18.00 - $20.25 CAD (Depending on Experience)Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greets customers with a friendly and positive attitude;
  • Assists customers with their building materials needs while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment.
  • Assists customers with loading/unloading building materials safely and efficiently;
  • Maintains accurate paperwork by marking and tallies product changes as required;
  • Operates a forklift to load and unload building materials from incoming or outgoing vehicles or to other areas of the yard/warehouse as required.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly yard and warehouse as directed;
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Customer Service oriented;
  • Knowledge in building materials is preferred;
  • Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 Lbs.), bending repeatedly on a daily basis;
  • Ability to work outside in all conditions, year-round;
  • Previous forklift experience an asset;
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding working environment.
