We are actively seeking a hardworking, dedicated, and experienced Damage Prevention Coordinator to join our team. The Damage Prevention Coordinator plays a critical role in our projects by planning, executing, and marking locates for underground utilities to prevent damage or disruption.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Daily planning and executing marking locates in the field as requiredReview construction plans and drawings to request locates for underground utilities for various stakeholders, through Alberta One-CallLiaise and coordinate with utility companies for locate requestsScreen locates to identify issues and establish and change priorities as neededPerform quality assurance on all third-party utility locatesCollect and process GPS data for local turnkey/design workCompile, manage, and disseminate all required documentation to appropriate contactsInspect jobsites to determine any constructability issues and create solutions in the construction plan and scheduleTrack, and update daily/weekly/monthly reports regarding locates so information is available to all required stakeholdersComplete data entry into all required systems with accuracy including maintain locates archivesCoordinate Safety Watches as requiredPerforms other duties as requestedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentExtensive industry experience in utility construction, installation and locatesValid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstractStrong understanding of property lines in a public and private environmentAbility to work with sense of urgency demonstrating an ability to shift priorities to accomplish objectivesAbility to work efficiently with minimum supervisionCapability to analyze data and obtain meaningful insights from the analyzed dataCapable of anticipating constructability issues and provide solutionsStrong attention to detail, highly organized and ability to prioritize workIntermediate to advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly with Excel, Word and Outlook with a willingness to learn new technologies and processesPrevious experience using GPS systems to mark out utilities is preferredAbility to operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safelyStrong interpersonal and communication skills, able to clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writingStrong work ethic, dedicated, and self-disciplinedExcellent problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to take initiative and resolve problems independently; monitors own quality of workWorking ConditionsMay be required to work evenings, weekends and overtimeTravel will be required$32.00 – $35.00 per hourJob Category: Labour UtilitiesJob Type: Full Time Permanent
