Since 2004, Paradox has been providing industrial access matting solutions and ground reinforcement for the pipeline, utility, municipal, general construction, and energy sectors.What You’ll Do at Paradox:The Desktop Support Analyst is responsible to provide technical assistance to clients, installation, upgrading and troubleshooting hardware and software systems. If you are an engaging people person with rock solid knowledge in current IT systems and the know how to apply these to install, configure, test, maintain and troubleshoot end user hardware and software this is a great opportunity for you!

• Provide friendly and professional helpdesk support
• Responsible to address user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking
• Walk customers through installing applications and computer peripherals.
• Ensure user interactions are promptly recorded and accurately updated
• Customize desktop applications to meet users needs
• Identify support problem trends and collaborate with the team to discover and resolve root causes to prevent recurring issues
• Required to test alternative pathways until an issue is resolved
• Conduct remote troubleshooting
• Act as an escalation point and direct unresolved issues to next level management
• Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems
• Monitor and follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

What You’ll Bring to Paradox:EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Technical Degree/Diploma in computer science, engineering or relevant field will be considered an asset.
• 2 + years work experience as a desktop analyst or similar role
• 2 + years Hands-on experience with Windows/Mac OS environments
• Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
• Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners
• Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Competence in a Microsoft Windows environment including Windows 10 & 11, MS Office Suite, Anti-Virus software
• Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Ability to establish immediate credibility at all levels, inside and outside the organization
• Excellent customer relationship, communications, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of PC hardware and the ability to set up, configure, and rebuild workstations.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
• A team player with excellent communication skills
