Job Description

Paradox Access Solutions is seeking a Field Supervisor to join our Earthworks team!Paradox Access Solutions is a family company and industry leader in access solutions across Western Canada. Since 2004 Paradox has provided industrial access matting and ground reinforcement solutions to the pipeline, utility, municipal, general construction, and energy sectors.Reporting to our Operations manager, the Field Supervisor is responsible to execute Paradox’s Earthworks projects on schedule. The field supervisor is responsible to ensure the job is completed according to Paradox’s policies, procedures, and quality expectations. With emphasis on client satisfaction and relationship maintenance, this position requires strong organization and excellent leadership.Our new field supervisor will:

  • Ensure all staff are adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and run daily tailgate meetings, Delegate tasks to appropriate personnel
  • Complete all paperwork required for each job, obtain required signatures, and submit to the appropriate party
  • Perform pre-and post-trip inspections on equipment; ensuring the inspections have been completed before work commences
  • Report all malfunctions and/or breakdowns of equipment to the Transportation & Fleet Manager for proper maintenance and repairs
  • Coordinate equipment repairs with the Transportation & Fleet Manager including the scheduling of preventative maintenance
  • Participate in investigations regarding safety violations
  • Manage and ensure the project site is accessible and properly prepared for the project
  • All other duties assigned required
Our new field supervisor will bring:
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and Clean Drivers Abstract
  • 5 years of related experience in Earthworks/civil industry
  • Equipment training (Excavator, Loader, Grader, etc)
  • Valid safety certifications in H2S, CSTS, First Aid, and OSSA are required. Global ground disturbance 2 and flagger training are considered an asset
  • Leadership/Management training is considered an asset
  • Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining company initiatives and standards
  • Pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
