Our successful candidate is intrinsically motivated and committed to making safe choices, when completing all tasks.General Supervisor, Hydraulics & Support Services - AchesonReporting to the Production Manager, Reman; this position develops, organizes, directs and supervises the Hydraulic Remanufacturing & production Support Services for Reman.Responsibilities include compliance with safety policies, procedures and regulations, the development of standards and procedures, scheduling, cost control, and manpower planning.This position implements company policies, procedures, and establishes hydraulic remanufacturing & support services repair practices.The General Supervisor, Hydraulic & Support Services supervises the activities of subordinates within the functional areas to ensure the effective and timely provisioning of quality services.ResponsibilitiesDisplay a positive safety attitude in both words and actions.Coordinates hydraulic remanufacturing & production support services within Reman, utilizing a wide variety of equipment, methods, and standards.Provides leadership and guidance to subordinates.Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others, working to maintain constructive working relationships internally and externally, with customers and manufacturers.Keeps current on information and technology affecting functional area to increase innovation and ensure Branch compliance. Works closely with peers to share information, best practices, and wins related to efficiency gains, cost management and safety improvements.Provides a safe work environment.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPosition requires a thorough knowledge of maintenance and repair of mining equipment.Requires journeyperson certification in a mechanical trade or equivalent remanufacturing experience.Minimum 5 – 7 + years’ experience in a relevant role along with a minimum of 2 years previous experience at a supervisory level is preferred (within a heavy equipment dealership environment).Strong ability to plan, develop, coordinate, and direct detailed phases of remanufacturing functions including the performance of the same.Ability to positively affect SMS KPI’s; cost control, efficiency gains, safety, revenue, warranty recovery, productivity.Capable to conduct independent evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of remanufacturing “best practices”.Also requires knowledge of trade certification administrative process, and OH&S acts and regulations.
