Job Description

MCL Group Ltd.is an experienced earthworks company based out of Edmonton, AB, with over 17 years in the earthworks industry. MCL Group has a proven track record of being a great employer while providing great results for our clients.MCL Group is currently looking for a full-time Heavy Equipment Shop Foreman. Reporting to the Equipment/Shop Manager, the ideal candidate will be required to oversee all shop/field mechanics, and fuel and lube. The individual will be required to have Heavy Duty Mechanic experience and be willing to help with repairs on an occasional basis during busy times or if short staffed in the shop.Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee shop and field mechanics
  • Field Equipment maintenance and repairs – Daily mechanics scheduling
  • Shop Equipment maintenance and repairs – Daily mechanics scheduling
  • Fuel and lube daily scheduling
  • Yard help/organization
  • Daily safety tailgate meetings including shop/field SWP’s, FLHA’s
  • Staff time sheet approvals
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1 year experience as an Heavy Equipment Shop Foreman or in a similar role.
  • Heavy Duty Mechanic experience is required
  • Must have a Class 5 driver’s license – Clean abstract required.
  • Good computer and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must have diverse equipment knowledge.

  • repairing scrapers: 1 year (preferred)
  • heavy equipment repair: 1 year (preferred)
  • construction industry: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
  • Journeyman HET (preferred)
  • Class 5 Licence (preferred)
Willingness to travel:
  • 25% (preferred)
