Job Description

Conducting business for over 50 years, Industrial Machine Inc. (IMI) is a distributor of municipal and contractor equipment. IMI provides value and peace of mind to our customers by representing industry leading equipment backed by exceptional customer service and support.Industrial Machine Inc is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Technician with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of heavy equipment units such as distributors, chip spreaders and highway maintenance asphalt equipment, snow and ice highway plows / sanders, Zamboni ice resurfacers and industrial snow blowers. The position will be based out of our Acheson, Alberta facility, but may occasionally require field service work.The successful candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to work both in a team group & independently with limited supervision while producing quality workmanship on an efficient basis.Minimum Requirements:

  • Journeyman Certificate or near completion
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience working in similar environment, including agricultural, heavy equipment, or light construction equipment dealerships
  • Availability to work limited overtime and be on after-hours call as scheduled
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license with a clean drivers abstract.
  • Travel to perform limited service calls in Alberta as required.
Major Job Functions
  • Complete heavy equipment repairs as specified by the client.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
  • Work with internal team members and third-party suppliers to ensure repairs are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Utilize technical resources and complete technical documentation where required.
  • Address incoming client requests for technical assistance where necessary and issue resolution for reported issues, leveraging internal resources; and
  • Provide ongoing product and technical support for customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved.
Accountability
  • Ensure client requests for installation and support services are responded to at the earliest availability, and services are delivered in an acceptable timeframe.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and reporting of client issues.
  • Ensure proper diagnosis processes are followed and appropriate actions are delivered.
  • Provide technical input, support and training to internal employees and contractors on new opportunities and projects
  • Maintain adherence to all Industrial Machine Inc policies and procedures, and client policies as appropriate when working on clients sites.
