Job Description

SMS Equipment is looking for a Hydraulic Hose Technician who will be responsible for safely manufacturing high quality hydraulic hoses supporting the business needs of other SMS Equipment branches, using technical specifications and tooling. In this role the incumbent will follow technical hose manufacturing specifications for customer’s Komatsu equipment, working daily with both the eXend computer system, and by physically building the required hoses. We are looking for a candidate who will bring their experience, skill and positivity to our Reman Hose Assembly team.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responding to customers advising whether or not their order can be supported in an efficient manner.
  • Complete inspections on parts/pieces to ensure they are free from any defects or damages, eliminating failures upon installation, and providing a quality product.
  • Break down assemblies into piece parts, enter service orders, and ensure the correct pricing is present to prevent pricing discrepancies.
  • Invoice customers once pieces are entered into the complete assembly requested, complete by ensuring the correct invoice amount matches the customers.
  • Ensure data input is correct, and matches to what is actual, to prevent any shortage of parts, after the customer’s request has been processed.
  • Check eXtend’s ERP system on parts needing replenishment to ensure continued support for customers.
  • Add parts currently not stocked to our inventory to grow and increase our support.
Qualifications:The successful candidate will possess a High School Diploma with 1-2 years of industry related experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Other requirements include:
  • Previous hydraulic hose manufacturing experience or relative training, and industry knowledge is considered an asset.
  • Full driver’s license without restrictions is required
