Subsidiary: Canadian Road BuildersLafrentz Road Marking - Durables DivisionLafrentz Road Marking, a division of Canadian Road Builders Inc., is Western Canada’s leading road marking company, applying painted road markings, durable road markings and safety markings / surfaces. An industry innovator, Lafrentz is involved in the entire production cycle of road marking materials. We also manufacture our own proprietary products. We perform on-site application of road marking products, and supply our products directly to a range of companies and government agencies.Lafrentz Road MarkingDivision: Durables DivisionBase: Acheson, ABPosition: Labourer, Full-time SeasonalMain ResponsibilitiesThis position will be part of the Lafrentz Road Marking Durables Department. This position will be based out of Acheson but will require working out of town approximately 50% of the time, and occasional night shifts. As a Labourer you will be responsible for complying with safe working procedures and practices while you contribute to the teams various road marking projects. Versatility, flexibility, and a positive attitude are required in this position. Your responsibility is to provide support services to the Durables Department in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.Why You Should Join Our Team

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED an asset
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 5) along with a recent abstract is required
  • Must own a reliable transportation (no public transit in Acheson)
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Must be able to perform manual labour (ability to lift from 30kg up to 50kg)
  • Willing to work out of town occasionally, for up to 2 weeks at a time (Work in AB, BC, SK, YT & MB)
  • Willing to work occasional night shifts
  • Construction experience would be an asset
  • Experience with safety regulations and safe practices
  • Must be able to work in uncertain outdoor conditions
  • Ability to work overtime hours
  • Must be able to comply with our Drug and Alcohol Policy, including a no tolerance policy on Cannabis use
  • Strick adherence to our COVID-19 protocols is required.
Job Responsibilities
  • Learn our processes and contribute to a safe and healthy work environment
  • Understand the job, and the hazards that are present
  • Maintain proper awareness of your surroundings
  • Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections
  • Keep current and accurate driver logs, using an Electronic Log (ELog)
  • Execute and maintain temporary traffic accommodation (signs, arrowboards, barricades, traffic cones)
  • Perform flag-person tasks
  • Assist operators, lead hand, and foreman in their duties
  • Other as determined by a supervisor
Total Compensation
  • Salary starting at $20 per hour, paid weekly
  • Regular overtime hours
  • Night shift premium
  • Per-diem paid when working outside the Edmonton area
