Job Description

Subsidiary: Canadian Road Builders Inc.Lafrentz Road Marking, a division of Canadian Road Builders Inc., is Western Canada’s leading road marking company, applying painted road markings, durable road markings and safety markings / surfaces. An industry innovator, Lafrentz is involved in the entire production cycle of road marking materials. We also manufacture our own proprietary products. We perform on-site application of road marking products, and supply our products directly to a range of companies and government agencies.SummaryThis position reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager and is primarily based at our Acheson facility. As part of the Production Department, the Production Coordinator assists with all aspects of the production process of the various products including thermo and cold plastics. The position is also responsible for the coordination of the shipping and receiving for both Lafrentz Road Marking and ACP Applied Products for raw materials and finished goods. Overtime, weekends, and nightshift work may also be required during the construction season.Main Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement and assign production and shipping/receiving tasks in accordance with priorities and production objectives.
  • Schedule and approve work orders according to the business’ requirements.
  • Plan and schedule regular maintenance, or equipment repairs, and keep corresponding records.
  • Carry out the monthly physical inventory count of finished goods and raw materials.
  • Assist with the coordination of incoming and outbound shipments for Lafrentz and some ACP (Crafco) products:
  • Coordinate with the trucking companies for pick up/drop off times and locations and letting the corresponding forklift operator know about the schedule.
  • Assist with the creation of BoL’s for outgoing shipments.
  • Help with the packaging of shipments and forklift duties if needed.
  • Shipment tracking for all incoming and outgoing orders.
  • Assist with obtaining quotes for transport services for outgoing/incoming products when required.
  • Assist with administrative duties, including preparing of PO requisitions for transport and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with the facilities 6S requirements through End of Day checklists.
  • Ensuring a safe, effective, and efficient operation.
  • Comply with all safe working procedures and practices, and participate in the safety goals, strategies and daily safety activities.
  • Versatility, flexibility, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are required in this position.
  • Any other related tasks as determined by Management, and the business’ needs.
Requirements
  • Good time management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Computer use knowledge and of MS Office applications is required.
  • Valid driver’s licenses (Class 5), along with a recent abstract is required.
  • Must have reliable transportation, no public transport available in Acheson.
  • Forklift experience is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to occasionally perform manual labour (ability to lift 30kg) and work in dusty physically demanding conditions.
  • Ability to work overtime, nights, or weekends, and out of town when scheduled and required.
