Job Description

Mustang Freightways Ltd is looking for a LCV Certified Class 1 Driver in Acheson.Since 1996 Mustang Freightways has grown into a reputable regional carrier leading the industry with legendary service. Mustang is a general freight carrier offering both LTL & truckload transportation in Alberta and British Columbia.The ideal candidate must be comfortable with night time driving and available to work Monday to Friday departing at 7:30pm going to Calgary.Pay: $0.57/mileBasic Duties:

  • Primarily hauling LTL loads between the Edmonton and Calgary
  • Pulling 48’, 53’, reefer, heated, flat decks, pups or dry van trailer combinations and potential turnpikes (subject to availability)
  • Complete daily logs and comply with hours-of-service regulations
  • Conduct daily inspection of the vehicle
  • May be required to chain up from time to time
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 1 license
  • 2-5 years Class 1 driving experience & long-haul experience
  • LCV Certification and experience
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding safe operation of extended lengths, hours of service, and handling of dangerous goods
  • Previous experience pulling flat decks considered an asset
  • Ability to chain up as required
  • Strong command of the English language
  • And a positive attitude
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs manually
  • Comfortable with night driving
  • Comfortable with a varying departure time
