Job Description

The newest member to the Acheson Team will be responsible for providing support to both customers and Liebherr Field Technicians with respect to all aspects of the parts and supply chain processes. Specifically, the role will respond to customer inquiries for parts and will provide support. In addition, this position is responsible for performing an array of parts and warehouse functions including managing parts inventory and stock in the warehouse, accepting and processing incoming stock and materials, and picking and filling orders from stock.Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer requests for parts - provide parts pricing and availability, assist with array of questions, produce parts and service quotes, investigates and solves customer problems / issues
  • Prepare purchase orders and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment
  • Create, ships and receives all branch transfers
  • Assist with the administration of vendors and other representatives
  • Work order management including opening and closing of work orders in an accurate manner ensuring all labour, parts, sublet, lubricant, shop supplies, cores and parts credits are accurate and invoicing of work completed per company policies and KPIs
  • Confer with staff, users and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or service and determine corrective action
  • Issue Proforma and final invoices to customers and request purchase orders
  • Prepare regular reports to provide to service and parts management
  • Checks and submits MMS / Form reports to Payroll team
  • Assist with warranty claims administration and shipping
  • Stock handling, parts identification and cataloging parts and assemblies
  • Order, receive, inspect and sort stock purchase orders from factories and distributors depending on business area
  • Input parts and order parts for processing work orders and conduct parts searches to determine availability
  • Create daily status updates of all open work and schedule updates
  • Assist technicians with parts ordering for their assigned jobs
  • Reconcile and approve weekly/monthly logistics, and branch invoices
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment with optimized space utilization in the warehouse
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
  • Monitor and investigate inventory discrepancies and adjustments
  • Participate in LCA safety program
  • Other duties as assigned
Competencies
  • 3+ years relative work experience in Heavy Equipment or as a Parts Advisor
  • Must be licensed Red Seal Parts Technician
  • Highschool completion or greater is required
  • Forklift license considered an asset but not required
  • Customer centric attitude
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with both internal and external clients
  • High attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks/requests while maintaining order and organization
  • Limited/occasional travel may be required
