Job Description

Our successful candidate is intrinsically motivated and committed to making safe choices, when completing all tasksProduction Expeditor, RemanReporting to the Supervisor, Parts, the Production Expeditor is responsible for the day to day expediting and maintenance of the production schedule. This position collaborates with various internal teams including the warehouse, inventory, shop and coordinator teams. Ensures stagnant work is expedited, ensures the schedule is aligned with branch demand and there are no interruptions in production due to parts, warehousing, reliability, and scheduling issues.ResponsibilitiesManages Work in Progress (WIP) though all stages of the remanufacturing process, ensuring stagnant WIP is progressing towards completion.Maintains and coordinates the production schedule with stakeholders to ensure production and turn around time targets are met.Develops contingency plans for production hold backs or scheduling conflicts.Collaborates with the inventory team to prioritize the production schedule, establishing priorities to meet branch demand and min/max targets.Holds a daily production meeting with stakeholders.Works closely with stakeholders in establishing better lines of communication as it relates to the production schedule.Works with stakeholders on gap analysis and the continuous improvement of tools and processes as it relates to production scheduling efficiencies.Works with Management to develop production metrics and targets.Other duties as required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities3-5 years of planning and relevant experience.Previous experience with production workflow and rebuild processes in required.Understanding of planning principles and ability to analyze/interpret large amounts of data.Position requires skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities.Ability to develop best practices, document processes and work instructions.Excellent organizational skills are a requirement.Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong working knowledge of computers and applicable software (MS Office, eXtend).To apply for this position or to see other Career Opportunities, please visit our website at https://www.smsequipment.com
