Job Description

Job Summary:Profire Energy is a leading provider of Burner Management Systems and associated equipment to the oil and gas industry. Profire has locations in Acheson, Alberta; Lindon, Utah; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Homer City, Pennsylvania; Greeley, Colorado; Millersburg, Ohio; and in Victoria, Texas. Profire has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in the world. We are currently seeking a results-oriented and dedicated individual to join our Lindon, Utah team as a QC Manager.The QC Manager is responsible for supervising the QC team located in the Lindon office. This team has the following three primary responsibilities:

  • To ensure that Profire designed products meet high quality standards (which are established by the R&D and QC Engineering teams) by testing and inspecting products (which are either built in this facility or built elsewhere and received by this facility), implementing corrective actions as necessary, and reporting regularly on these activities.
  • To provide Tier I product technical support for all of North America, oversee the associated phone and ticketing systems, and report regularly on these activities.
  • To oversee the RMA process for warranty claims, product returns, product recalls, and refurbishment programs for the US Sales regions.
The person filling this position will coordinate all team efforts; provide regular training, auditing, and feedback on team functions; oversee the accuracy of records; provide feedback on the manufacturing of products; provide weekly, monthly, and annual reports; and make recommendations for the revision of department procedures and policies. The QC Manager is crucial in promoting product quality and safety amongst team members and across all of Profire.Job Duties:
  • Manage the Lindon QC Team (2-5 people) including the following:
    • Hiring, training, and performance reviews
    • Incoming Quality Control (“IQC”)
    • Tier I Product Technical Support
    • RMA Process
  • Manage and count inventory within team control
  • Contribute to the forecasting process for inventory orders
  • Attend department meetings
  • Act as a liaison between Profire and assigned Contract Manufacturers
  • Oversee record keeping
  • Recommend and implement Corrective Actions
  • Recommend revisions for department policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience working in a quality control or customer service role
  • 1-2 years experience managing a team
  • Associates or technical degree (preferred)
  • Formal training in ISO 9001 quality management systems
