Job Description

At SMS Equipment, our Service Coordinator play a key role in providing support to key service areas such as contracts, warranty and service analysis. The incumbent will be responsible for activities that include record keeping, data entry and report preparation. We are looking for a candidate who will bring their experience, love for process and customer service to our growing team in Acheson AB.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manufacture and warranty programs. Coordinate warranty processes, prepare warranty service orders and verifies accuracy prior to costing. Coordinates the collection of necessary information to ensure claims are meeting timelines. Prepares reports that analyzes trends of failures or product issues and provides analyst to organization.
  • Administrative support. Maintains and makes recommendations on all customer invoicing rates and rate types as per contracts in the eXtend ERP system and obtains appropriate approvals. Maintains and manages rate escalation and adjustments for the parts and labour portions of the rates and for foreign exchange adjustments, parts pricing indexes and labour rate escalation and obtains approvals. Timely response to emails and voicemails.
  • Develops, creates and analyses position codes, position groups, flat rates, flate rates price books and component codes used by the service, sales and parts departments. Prepares, submits and rationalizes the prepared job codes to the various departments. Develops and maintains the required electronic catalogues and supporting documentation.
Qualifications:Our Service Coordinators have a High School diploma previous office administration experience. Additional qualifications include:
  • Process and system driven
  • Previous heavy equipment dealership service department and warranty experience is an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills to access, develop, reconcile and update electronic records. (i.e. program data manipulation, word processing, spreadsheets, email, internal department electronic systems)
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management, work prioritization, organization and attention to detail
