Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW: NCSG Trans Tech is currently looking for a Shop Laborer / Wash Bay Attendant for our Acheson shop. The successful candidate would be assigned general duties within the shop, from cleaning to assisting in daily maintenance and overall organization of the shop. This position would also be responsible for the Wash Bay. Looking after the wash bay, the candidate would be washing trailers, trucks and any other equipment that is required. The successful candidate would support our maintenance team in the day-to-day operation of the shop.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean parking areas, equipment and remove trash.
  • Perform very minor repairs, assist with checking/ changing oil, fluids
  • and filters.
  • Responsible to delivering of parts in a timely manner.
  • Safe and accurate loading/unloading of deliveries.
  • General laborer in shop area.
  • Assist shop personnel as needed.
  • Report broken/ damage equipment that needs repairing.
  • Wash Bay duties including washing trailers, trucks and other equipment as needed.
  • Clean and organize wash bay.
  • Other duties as assigned by the shop foreman.
Qualifications: Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Class 5 license with clean driver’s abstract.
  • CSO.
  • First Aid.
Experience Required:
  • Minimum 1 year in shop environment.
Skills/Abilities:
  • Time management skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Customer service knowledge.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Knowledge of safe and courteous driving techniques.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Good working with hands and ability to lift light equipment (30 pounds).
