In this role you will gain four months of intensive, hands-on work experience, learning from our experienced leaders what it takes to power Alberta communities as you support our team.Position Responsibilities:

  • Ship, receive, return and properly store material in the Service Centre.
  • Process electrical revenue meters across our test consoles.
  • Follow our quality assurance practices as documented in our Quality Management system.
  • Operate Service Centre machinery and forklifts as required.
  • Contribute towards building an efficient and effective team.
  • Access information in a PC/SAP environment including email.
  • Maintain inventory accurately as outlined in the Inventory Control Policy and Procedures Manual.
What we are looking for:
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to contribute to the success of the team.
  • Developed organizational and time management skills in order to manage multiple requests.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
  • Ability to promote and apply safe work practices.
  • A willingness to learn new skills and share these learning’s with other employees.
  • Duties include inside and outside work in all weather conditions
  • Physically capable of safely lifting objects up to 20KG.
  • Attention to detail is required.
  • Forklift operator experience is an asset.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in the electrical utility industry would be considered an asset.
  • ISO-9001 Quality Assurance training is an asset.
  • Currently enrolled in Post-Secondary Education.
Qualifications:
  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in and planning to return to a post-secondary institution.
