Job Description

(IMI) is a distributor of municipal and contractor equipment. We take great pride in only representing industry leading manufacturers of the highest quality who shares the same commitment to value and relationships as we do.Summary:Reporting to the Shop Foreman, this individual works closely with shop employees to repair and maintain all equipment within Industrial Machine equipment offering. This individual is a quick learner who is able to working effectively in a team environment with both internal and external clients in a positive and results oriented manner.Core Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Has a minimum of 1 years experience working in a shop environment.
  • Consistently demonstrates exceptional customer service
  • Has excellent team ideology, with a strong emphasis on supportive culture
  • Has excellent communication skills, is highly organized and can manage paperwork efficiently
  • Is independent and resourceful; has the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Has knowledge of mechanical parts, and failure analysis
  • Active safety culture participation and involvement
  • Has a clean driving record and a valid Alberta class 5 drivers licence
  • High School or GED equivalent
  • The ability to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced challenging environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Fixes and services light and heavy duty equipment and machinery
  • Inspects and cleans shop equipment where necessary
  • Operates all shop machinery after careful instruction by immediate supervisor
  • Ensures shop is clean, organized, and free of hazardous materials
  • Assists in repairs, construction, maintenance, or other tasks involved in client requirements.
  • Complete all work as directed while meeting identified quality standards
  • Ensures all deadlines met, advising of delays in progress or completion
  • Working with shop foreman to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Responsible for washing and cleaning of equipment
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Heavy Equipment Technician apprentice or equivalent
  • Previous work experience in a similar environment
  • Bondable
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
  • Class 3 Drivers license w/air endorsement an asset
