Yard Shipper/Receiver - Edmonton Field Service/WarehousePosition Summary:Reporting to the Manager, the Yard Shipper/Receiver is responsible to efficiently, effectively and accurately receive products into the store; place in appropriate storage locations; and adhere to all Kal Tire standards. This includes ensuring that inventory is received, shipped and handled in an accurate and safe manner; the proper inspections and routine maintenance of: ramp, forklifts, and skid steer are completedKey Accountabilities:Participate in all aspects of the shipping/receiving/inventory functions, accountable for accurate daily completion of all receiving, shipping, inventory control and administrative requirements; ensure excellent service is provided to all customers.Perform maintenance on inventory or cycle counts, as directed.Operate all materials handling equipment. Assist in forklift and equipment maintenance.Load and unload trucks. Follow Kal Tire loading and unloading procedures to ensure products are safely secured.Conduct store inventory in prescribed manner. Maintain yard and warehouse appearance as assigned, and in compliance with Kal Tire safety and operational standards.Ensure warehouse, loading dock, and warehouse yard, are orderly, clean, and kept free of snow and debris.Responsible to ensure Kal merchandising and inventory standards are consistently maintained.Responsible to schedule AERP and scrap metal pickup when bins are fullComplete deliveries and support front counter service as required.Required Qualifications:Grade 12 diploma with 1 - 2 years of related experience or equivalent may be 3 - 5 years related experience without grade 12 diploma.You have the ability to excel in a physically demanding environment that includes heavy lifting.Extensive forklift experience is a prerequisiteStand up forklift and / or skid steer experience would considered an assetYou have a Class 5 Alberta license, a clean driver’s abstract and experience driving and maintaining company owned vehicles.Basic computer proficiency required as may be cross trained on POS and inventory systems.Good communication skills both verbal and written.Contribute and adhere to a safe and responsible workplace following all safe work practices and procedures.Kal will provide product and position specific training to the successful candidate; whom then must remain current in any and all certifications.Special Requirements:Ability to work Saturdays and overtime as required.Flexible start times between: 6:00am and 10:00am.Heavy lifting to stack and store: passenger, truck, and commercial truck tires.Quick Apply
